About MASFPS
EDUCATORS ARE INNOVATORS
The Michigan Association of State and Federal Program Specialists (MASFPS) exists to organize, unify, and nourish an alliance of individuals and organizations concerned with Compensatory Education. Founded November 3, 1969, we facilitate conversation and collaboration among member organizations and government partners. We’re active in the development and enactment of State and Federal legislation affecting education and strive to enhance the professional competence of education professionals.
MASFPS provides technical assistance to educators who are leading, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating State and Federal Programs. This includes State and Federal Program Directors, certified interventionists, HQ paraprofessionals, and other grant funded staff.

“The MASFPS Title I Principals' Series was a absolute game-changer! I wholeheartedly recommend it to any Title I leader seeking a clear, comprehensive understanding of program requirements. This series not only breaks down each component into an easy-to-follow format—no matter your experience level—but also fosters a truly collaborative and engaging learning environment. The dedication to two-way communication, structured work time, and the opportunity to seek clarification ensures that every participant leaves feeling a little more confident than when they started. Best of all, it transforms what can feel like an overwhelming process into a manageable and even inspiring journey, especially when preparing for a site visit”.

““One of my key takeaways in the Section 31a Workshop Series was understanding the significance of our written processes and how to develop and share them in a meaningful way with other key stakeholders”.”
